In addition to providing private classical guitar lessons, the Classical Guitar Academy is now also Derby’s only classical guitar shop. The CGA stocks a range of fantastic classical guitars, from beginner guitars to concert grade instruments. We also have a range of classical guitar cases, gig bags, strings and guitar accessories. The expansion into retail comes as a result of frustration at the lack of good quality classical guitars previously available in the Derbyshire area. A poor quality instrument can have a detrimental effect not only on a developing musician’s progress, but also on their overall enjoyment of the guitar. We felt we had to do something to make sure our students and all those looking for a classical guitar in Derbyshire had somewhere they could shop with confidence and had access to expert advice before choosing a new guitar.

Because we are a small studio, viewing our guitars is by appointment only.  The advantage of this is that you get to try out our guitars in complete privacy in the comfort of our dedicated classical guitar studio. Expert advice is on hand should you require any assistance.
