Michael studied guitar lutherie in Granada under the tutelage of Rolf Eichinger. It’s clear that Granada, the spiritual home of the classical guitar, has has greatly influenced the guitars he builds.

Michael offers two main models in both spruce and cedar; the ES and RE models. His ES model is based on the guitars of Enrique Sanfeliu, who can claim the great Agustín Barrios Mangoré as one of his admirers (having owned and used a Sanfeliu guitar during his lifetime). The RE model is considered to be a modern Granada style guitar, named after the barrio in which Michael stayed during his time in Granada (Realejo).
