We are delighted to present a very special instrument — our first concert guitar by award-winning Argentinian luthier Alexis Parducci.

A maker of exceptional sensitivity and precision, Parducci’s work has been recognised at the highest level, earning First Prize at the Antonio Marin Montero Guitar Building Competition — a distinction that speaks volumes about his elite level craftsmanship.

This particular instrument has been commissioned as a 640mm Torres-inspired model, thoughtfully designed for comfort without compromising projection or tonal depth. The cedar soundboard pairs beautifully with Radal Patagonian back and sides, bringing together striking visual depth and a richly sonorous character.

While relatively unknown in Europe, Radal Patagonian is a tonewood with which Parducci has extensive experience. In his own words, it produces an “incredible tone”, with a natural ability to enhance the lower frequencies—resulting in a deep, resonant, and enveloping sound”. Visually it is also rather compelling, offering a beautifully varied, high-contrast grain that gives the instrument a distinctive and elegant aesthetic.

What makes this guitar particularly exciting is the synergy between material and design. The Torres tradition is already celebrated for its warmth, responsiveness, and richly developed bass, not to mention its natural expressiveness under the fingers. To pair this architecture with a tonewood that naturally emphasises depth and low-end complexity has produced an instrument of remarkable character—one that draws the listener in with a sense of closeness, rich expression and musical intimacy.

This is a guitar that is not only refined and beautiful on the outside, but one which possesses a voice that is highly expressive and natural with a vast array of subtle tonal variations.

A compelling proposition for guitarists drawn to the Torres school, yet curious to explore alternative tonewood pairings that offer a fresh perspective on this timeless design.

“We were looking for a guitar for our son but had no idea where to start based on the level he’s working at/age etc. I contacted Classical Guitar Academy for some initial advice and received a detailed email response. More questions followed from our side and Ed took the time to give his thoughts and opinions. Once the order was placed we were kept very much in the loop about expected delivery times. On collection of the guitar, Ed spent time with us and our son had the chance to play a couple of guitars and make an informed final choice! Can highly recommend Classical Guitar Academy for non-pushy, knowledgeable advice with regards to the purchase of a high quality guitar. Local independent seller providing an excellent service – can highly recommend!”

“Been playing guitar since I was 15 (am now 59), bought my first classical guitar in 1985 and recently decided I needed a better one. After some discussion with Ed at the Classical Guitar Academy about all things guitaristic (Ed is very knowledgeable and always enthusiastic) I tried a few of the guitars Ed had in stock. I knew what I was looking for and Ed understood what I was looking for and I have ended up with a superb Antonio Sanchez guitar. I had also tried a few guitars in a few of the mainstream shops but did not get anything like the help and advice I got from Ed – he understands what it’s all about!”
