Concert Model

We’re very excited to offer this secondhand concert grade instrument by Colin Keefe. This guitar features a carefully selected spruce top with sublime bear claw figuring. Colin has also chosen highly attractive Santos Rosewood for the back and sides as a fine compliment the top.

Colin relies on traditional Torres fan bracing for his design inspiration, but has developed his own unique pattern of fan struts and supports, giving rise to a guitar which is distinctly and unmistakably his. The incredible detailing of the bear claw top is not only decorative, but carefully selected for it’s tonal characteristics, which match perfectly with Colin’s design. The equally attractive Santos Rosewood back and sides add further to this guitars aesthetic appeal. The swirly, marble patterns of chocolatey tones run throughout the sides, hinting at the rich tone this guitar will produce before a note has even been played. The back sports a lovely two tone pattern so typical of Santos Rosewood, making a real feature of the rear aspect of the guitar.

The tone is clear and sweet, with strong body and weight behind each note. A wide and varied tonal palette provide seemingly limitless shades of colour with a voice that is mature, strong and highly expressive.

* This secondhand guitar is still in superb condition and has matured beautifully since it’s conception in 2021. This is a somewhat reluctant sale, as the owner can not find a suitable place for it in his recording set up. When we first listed this guitar in 2021, I remember thinking that the sweetness of tone defied the age of the guitar and was very excited thinking about the potential of this instrument. It’s a sheer delight to hear how this guitar has matured over the past few years, revealing it’s true potential as a concert guitar of superb calibre. It’s worth noting that the guitar has had it’s tuners upgraded to Rubner Superior tuners. Comes complete with Hiscox Pro II case.
