630mm, SE43 S
The SE 43 was built by Antonio de Torres 1883. The original Instrument has a cedar neck with a 650mm scale length, spruce top, with maple for back and sides. This Torres guitar was one of his masterpieces, which later influenced the work of famous countless guitar makers such as Manuel Ramirez, who repaired it in 1912 and Robert Bouchet who did some reconstruction work on this guitar in 1950.
This guitar now is part of the collection of the ‘Musee Instrumental du Conservatoire de Paris’, in France. In terms of dimensions and internal construction, the SE 43 is very close to Francisco Tarrega’s last guitar, the SE 114 which was originally built with rosewood back and sides.
This is the 630mm version.
