Ed Peczek
Ed Peczek is the principal guitar teacher and founder of Classical Guitar Academy. Ed is a graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, graduating in 2009 with a BMus(Hons) degree in classical guitar studies.
Ed began playing the classical guitar in 1995 under the guidance of Adrian and Selina Copley of the Stafford Classical Guitar Centre. He started performing at an early age and won several music competitions, including Staffordshire Young Musician of the Year in 2005.
Shortly after graduating from the RCS, he set up an independent guitar school in Glasgow, which quickly became one of the busiest guitar schools in the area. His former guitar students have gone on to gain entry to top music colleges such as the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and have launched their own careers in the music industry as both performers and teachers.
Ed currently holds guitar teaching positions with Repton School and Repton Prep School.
As part of his work with Classical Guitar Academy, Ed is the Musical Director of the CGA Guitar Ensemble, which brings together players of all ages and abilities to perform as a group. He also hosts workshops, performance classes and masterclasses throughout the year as part of an ongoing mission to provide outstanding classical guitar tuition in the Derbyshire region.
In addition to teaching, Ed Peczek also performs regularly as a classical guitarist around the UK.
