Head to head

The Antonio Picado Model 62 and Model 62DT look alike from the outside. The difference described in the original test is inside the 62DT: its doblo tapa construction.

Despite the similar name, this is different from a double top soundboard. The 62DT has a double back. The original article describes an inner layer of 1.2 mm cedar and an outer layer of 1.9 mm Madagascan rosewood. Looking inside the guitar reveals the contrasting woods.

The two models share their dimensions and bracing, and were made in the same Spanish workshop by Ángel Genis. They feel similar to play. The question is whether you can hear a difference, and which sound you prefer.
