John AinsworthMargarita2018

John Ainsworth’s Margarita combines a spruce soundboard and cherry back and sides with a 650mm scale, bringing distinctive materials to a traditionally made English guitar.

Handcrafted in England, Margarita is a superb example of John Ainsworth’s artistry and dedication to traditional luthiery. Built with a spruce soundboard and cherry back and sides, this instrument combines visual elegance with exceptional tonal clarity.

John Ainsworth’s affectionately named ‘Margarita’ model guitar offers a tone that is bold, rounded, and clear, with an even dynamic response across all registers. Its excellent projection makes it equally at home in intimate settings or on the concert stage. Players will appreciate its balance of warmth and brilliance, making it a versatile choice for a wide range of repertoire.

This guitar is ideally suited for intermediate players stepping up into their first ‘concert-level’ instrument, offering professional quality at an accessible price point. Advanced players will also value its rich pallette of well-rounded tones, —a refined guitar that doesn’t compromise artistry for affordability.

John Ainsworth’s Margarita is a fully handmade concert guitar that inspires confidence, rewards expressive playing, and elevates performance (for the same price as a high end studio guitar – Not to be missed!)

Being a secondhand instrument, there are a few visual imperfections in the finish. Most notably a couple of dings on the soundboard and a small area of scuffing on the back consistent with regular use.
