A traditionally constructed concert guitar based on a Robert Bouchet plantilla, made from high grade Spruce and Indian Rosewood. Accents of African Ebony on the headstock, bridge, rosette and purfling give this guitar a striking, modern look that is sure to turn heads. No detail goes unaccounted for, with Irving Sloane Hauser style tuners sporting black keys to match the ebony accents.
Built in the traditional Granada style, Mark Burnet uses hand tools for a great deal of the work, and binds the woods together with hot hide glue as per the tradition. It’s easy to appreciate the great craftsmanship and many hours of work that have gone into creating this wonderful instrument.
The tone is powerful, clean and superbly musical. This guitar has excellent clarity from bass to treble, which makes the phrasing of melodies over complex harmonies a breeze to control. An abundance of dynamic headroom also helps in this respect, with superb projection to round off an already impressive guitar. The oil finish allows the top to resonate fully and also gives a subtle textured feel for a more tactile playing experience.
